CEO
Taylor Pittman
Taylor is the CEO of SHINE Support Services and has been dedicated to the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) from an early age. Growing up with an older brother who has I/DD, Taylor developed a deep understanding and passion for supporting individuals with special needs. She has spent her career advocating for those who need it most, creating environments where clients can thrive with dignity and independence.
A mother of four—two of whom are adopted—Taylor brings a compassionate, family-centered approach to leadership. Her vision for SHINE is rooted in empowering both clients and staff, providing them with the resources and support needed to succeed. Taylor’s personal and professional experiences shape her commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment where everyone is valued.
Owner
Matthew Pittman
Matthew is one of the owners of SHINE Support Services, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong, hands-on approach to the company's operations. A former U.S. Marine, Matthew served as an Air Traffic Controller for 10 years in Beaufort, SC, where he honed his leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
After transitioning from the military, Matthew returned home and purchased SHINE Support Services with his wife, Taylor. Matthew is instrumental in maintaining the company’s facilities, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. His practical approach, combined with his calm and steady leadership, plays a crucial role in SHINE’s success. Matthew is committed to providing exceptional service to clients and creating a supportive, well-managed environment for the SHINE team.
Chief Operating Officer
Derek Poteat
As Chief Operating Officer, Derek is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at SHINE Support Services. With extensive experience in organizational leadership and crisis management, Derek ensures that SHINE’s operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with its mission. He is deeply committed to building a supportive workplace culture and streamlining processes that prioritize client care and staff well-being. Beth is a registered nurse with a passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At SHINE Support Services, she plays a key role in supporting the health and wellness of our clients, ensuring that they receive personalized care that meet their unique needs. Beth’s clinical expertise, combined with her empathetic approach, ensures that SHINE’s clients are cared for in the most nurturing and professional manner.

Nikii Pittman
Nikii serves as the HR Business Partner at SHINE Support Services, where she is responsible for managing human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
